B1: Carryover from a FY 2016 expenditure transfer from the National Telecommunications Information Administration (NTIA), Public Safety Trust Fund (006-60-8233); TAFS 13-8233 2012/2022 to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), General Fund account, 021-18-0661; per P.L. 112-96. Transfer provided grants and oversight expense funding to administer program to eligible entities for the implementation of 9-1-1 services, E9-1-1 services, migration to an IP-enable emergency network, and adoption and operation of Next Generation 9-1-1 services and applications. Funding is available for obligation through September 30, 2022. Upon cancellation of funds on September 30, 2027, the remaining amounts will be returned to the General Fund.
