A2: The amount on line 1232 (line split "SEQ2") is the required sequestration amount assuming that the Treasury Forfeiture Fund's appropriations equal the amount shown on line 1201/1250. If the actual appropriation is different from the amount shown on line 1201/1250, the amount currently reflected on line 1232 (line split "SEQ2") is automatically apportioned so as to reduce by 5.7 percent the amount of 2023 new Budget Authority (BA). Because of the indefinite nature of this BA, the sequestered amount may not be equal to the amount reflected in the March 28, 2022, OMB Report to the Congress on the BBEDCA 251A Sequestration for Fiscal Year 2023.
